Senior Back End Developer – Australia

We are hiring at Now Book It for a Senior Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Australia with at least 6+ years experience as a minimum!

Now Book It is a leading restaurant reservation software development company with over 7500 customers. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive developers. We have grown from a team of 3 to 30 in the last 3 years with no sign of stopping as we expand into international markets.

Here is a little window into our company: Now Book It was acquired by Valsoft and now operates under the Aspire Software Portfolio. Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

We are adopting SDLC and industry current practices during our working processes, and our team covers from front-end all the way to backend and micro-services.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Australia, working in a remote work model!

Tech skills:

6+ years minimum strong experience (intermediate - expert level) in .NET / Core using C#, Web API is essential
Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs, Exposure to Micro Services / SOA
At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar related discipline is highly advantageous
Good understanding of SOLID principles
Experience in writing Unit and Integration tests
Experience working with relational databases (MSSQL) non-relational is a plus
Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus
Knowledge of software development lifecycle/practices
Knowledge of working with CI/CD is a must
Knowledge of different hosting systems (Understanding the impact of hosting systems on end applications is vital)

Nice to haves:

React.js - or Angular.js/4+ or any other front-end framework.
Exposure or hands-on skill for container tech stack.

Able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to act with professionalism in a team environment
Resolve issues and provide support
Demonstrate the ability to stay on task as well as self-manage
Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
